I need 5-way binding posts with screw and nut posts, so no tube connectors.

No steel posts. Gold plated brass 5-way binding posts and locking banana jacks. My favorites are still the Superior Electric BP30-10 series binding posts but 10 pairs gets expensive.

Updating the passive crossovers in the Kappa 8's with high quality passive components would probably cost more than the dspNexus 2x8. There are eight 2-pole filters with variable resistor pads per speaker. Even the woofer has a 2-pole high pass filter with a 1400uF NPE.

The dspNexus 2/8 is one of the best things that ever happened to my system.

Nice finds! Look like newer versions of the Superior Electric BP30's. They do make a dual version as well.

If my binding posts do not work out, that will be a next step.

I have a Fostner bit to drill the holes for the second type of binding posts if you want to borrow it (requires a drill press) or drill the holes in my shop. Here is the connector panel for my LX521.4 -

Thanks for the offer! Looks great, but I have two of these to modify to install the new connectors.

The rear plates are the same from the Kappa 6 to the Kappa 8 and they just arrived to modify with the new connectors.

The original crossover pc boards have been removed and ready for the new 5-way binding posts to be installed.

Went to install the Polydome K midranges with new wiring and behind the damping material the original wiring is glued into the cavity.

Looks like I have to put new fast on connectors on the original wiring for use with the external amps.

The Infinity Kappa 8 Polydome K repaired and being reinstalled in the baffle. Wiring reworked with the original wiring as it is glued into the sealed cavity behind the driver.

No problem as there is excess wiring for repairs to be done.
