This guy sells brand new DL-301/II for $285. I got two from him and they are the real deal, brand spanking new-in-box. Fast shipment too.

Roscoe Primrose wrote:The original DL301 was my first decent cart. Still have it around somewhere, but it's 30+ years old at this point, I suspect the suspension is well past gone. At $250 for a re-tip, and $330 for a new MKii, unless the re-tip is better than a new one, I'd probably just buy a new one, then you've got a spare in case of emergency...

Denon DL-301/II is a terrific cartridge. Low riding at 1.45g VTF. Best sounding cartridge I have had in my system so far.

Isn't that a 301 in your arm?

Yup. I think the 103 in the post is a typo

Been typing 103 for the last 20 years, force of habit.

It seems like there's a lot of suspicion that my setup still isn't right. I think I've done everything in my current knowledge/ability to make sure it is. Is there a shop in the DC/MD/VA area where I could take my table and have a professional check the setup?
Thanks!!

I used to do turntable setups "professionally" at Deja Vu Audio, many, many years ago. I'd be happy to take a look at your TT setup. I have Feikert alignment tool, digital VTG guage but no fozgometer. I can quickly check your current setup and make any adjustments as needed. No charge but I do like IPAs.
