We all have home audio systems that are in endless flux. On the other hand, many of us spend 8 hours a day at work. What do you listen to on the clock?
My work system:
Mac Pro running MOG connected by USB to Schiit Bifrost to AudioEngine A2.

I'm using a 2.1 Altec Lansing computer speaker system I found in storage at work, with the analog outs on the work Dell laptop, streaming from
http://www.jazz-oasis.com/The speakers don't sound half-bad, probably because the satellites are a single driver

Try removing the grill. I had a similar system at work for a while and removing the grill helped a bit. They were also single driver speakers and sounded fine for work.

My office system is a pair of Energy CB-5 speakers driven by a stereo 2A3 integrated amplifier (7119/E182CC beta-follower driver), with a DENON DVD-5000 player as a DAC, and a SONY HDR-F1HD tuner.

Davis,
How do you like that tuner? I have been thinking of getting a used one.

I'm retired but when at the computer at home, I listen to a Blaupunkt San Francisco car radio driving two Polk Monitor speakers. It is powered by a 12 volt gel cell battery that is kept topped off by a regulated charger when the radio is on. I took the output for the power antenna from the radio and use it to power a relay that controls 120VAC to the charger. It works pretty well for close in listening.

It is nice, though I mainly listen to WETA-FM HD radio, where it pulls a great signal (the analog is subject to too much multipath in Crystal City). Never did much listen on analog FM with it. I have not tried modding it, which I understand turns it into a great analog tuner.
Too bad you cannot get them new anymore, I would snatch up another one in a heartbeat. Apparently, the FM (HDRadio) tuning chip which was the core of the unit went out of production. HD Radio really does not seem to be going anywhere, with internet radio being so prevalent.

I don't get to listen to stuff at work unless it's by headphones, and then only by CDs in computers, so it's not really worth it for me. Not only that, I'm easily distracted by the music - I need to listen to orchestral pieces so I don't sing along and forget to work!

At home (3 days a week) I have a pair of Behringer 2031A studio monitors that I scored off CL for $100 for the pair. They are connected to my personal laptop where I listen to a mix of mp3s from internet purchased music during my college/grad school days and flac from CD rips.
