Chassis is done and waiting on the final AC power supply to arrive for testing and listening.

The new SMPS arrived and got it installed in the chassis.

Final wiring to the new XLR's is soon.

Have my 2 channel XLR to RCA active converter setup with Sparkos Labs SS3601 discrete opamps.

This feeds a Douk Audio A5 Class D stereo amps with SS3602 opamps installed. The stereo amp is RCA input only.

Stock Magnepan LRS speakers for listening.

The 4 channel prototype is working and doing a 24 hour burn-in to check all components. This has 4 - Staccato OSH-S discrete opamps installed as monoblock amp channels with full voltage regulation per channel.

The listening session shows much improvement over the XLR to RCA adapter cable as expected

The amp is a Douk Audio A5 stereo TPA3255 Class D amp with RCA inputs. Moded it with Sparkos Labs SS3602 discrete opamps to replace the TI NE5532 ICs.

Now for some more listening!

The active converter is working well with Douk A5, Alsozone GaN Mono and FOSI V3 Mono amps.

Got it packed today to go to a group listening session for some feedback.

Next is building a two channel version of the converter.

This one is to try two Sparkos Labs SS2590 Pro single discrete opamp with the 8 pin DIP converters to use the same circuit with higher current +/-12VDC voltage regulators.

These discrete units have a max output current of 275mA Class AB and 35mA Class A bias.
