Stuart,
Looks like the old Maggy glue delamination problem on that last picture. I understand about having a good solid attachment for each driver.
Probably going to end up getting longer #4 wood screws as the rivets are high and not getting much grip with the #4 - 3/8" screws. Longest that McFeeleys have with square drive is 1/2", so ordered more. Glad I went with the smaller pilot hole size for more grip.
Will keep installing and see what happens.

Well the #4-3/8" wood screws were to short to fully seat the drivers to the baffle. Had some wood rip out a few holes.
Have #4-1/2" wood screws arriving today as they were the longest with square drive from McFeeley's. Should be fine and will use a new tub of plastic wood to repair the damaged holes.
Hope they get here today.

The counterweight stabilizer for the baffle.
Copper pipe with end hammered shut and marked for bends. Bend pipe angle needed to attach at the top and bottom of the baffle. Add lead shot to add weight and then hammer the other end shut. Drill holes on 2" center to attach to the baffle bolts.

The right angle bend for the baffle attachment on the bottom of the stabilizer is finished.
Next will be cutting to length, adding weight and flattening and bending the other end to attach to the top of the baffle.
Last steps before wiring up the drivers to the amps.
