Will install Linux Mint, so don't care about OS. Just need case, motherboard (integrated graphics is fine),USB 2.0 at least, prefer 3.0, HDD, at least 100G, any decent processor and memory, 4G+, ethernet porr, prefer wi-fi card, have everything else. Anyone have something? Thanks in advance. Stuart |

I have two computers available for sale - Zotac Mag HD-01 probably not suitable for your purpose (please say purpose of computer, HTPC?). I also have Hackintosh hardware (I have to recover it from a friend's house) Mid Tower case Intel i3 cpu (integrated graphics) 1 Tbyte drive Hackintosh compatible motherboard (I think it is a gigabyte) Ubuntu currently installed If you are interested contact me and I will reclaim the computer and give more particulars on the hardware. |

Music server only. Not familiar with the hardware you have, but I'll look it up. Not looking for anything fancy. Thanks Stuart |

Zotac lacks internal optical drive. Mid-tower, heck even a mini-case is a better choice. Too many outboards! I actually have a micro case, optical drives, DDR2 memory and an AMD quad core chip. Motherboard is kaput, HDD has been repurposed. So, at a minimum, I need a micro form motherboard which will accept the AMD processor and DDR2 memory, plus a hard drive. If I have to buy new, I'd rather get a larger case which will accept a standard size motherboard. Probably cheaper to get a whole used PC. Hence....... |

I built my own with the help of Roscoe but if you don't want to go that route this or something similar is what I would get: https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Fanless- ... B00SCBWF52 Here is what I am running and it is great: https://www.daphile.com/ Don't worry about windows because Daphile has it's own stripped down version of Linux and will wipe out everything during the install. If you're not storing the music on the sever, (looks like you're not with only 100GB HD requirement) there's no real need for an optical drive, you can rip the music onto the network from any PC with an optical drive... I've got a couple that might work, fanless multi-core Intel processors and 60GB SSDs so no moving parts in the entire computer... Roscoe |

Tom, I've already been running daphile. For a variety of reasons, it's not working for me. I've never actually bought a computer, other than a laptop, always assembled them and always for more money than the one that you posted. The only thing I don't like About the one you posted is the lack of an optical drive. |

Roscoe, I don't want to schlep to another computer to rip CDs. I want that function all-in-one. Is rather not have an external optical drive because it's another box, cable and power cord. The 60G ADD is perfect. Do you have a micro size MB? If not, I can change cases. |
