Hello fellow solder slingers. My interests range all over the place for DIY, but fall mostly in tube amps/preamps/headphone amps, chipamps, as well as cables, power cords, speakers, etc.

I run the blog DIYAudioBlog.com and manage a small hobby business Zynsonix.com

Would love to learn about what other people are into here. Has anyone local built an electrostatic speaker? There was a really nice one at the last Capital Audio Fest run from 300Bs.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome. Quads sound incredible. They seem to be rather popular here. I was just chatting with Walt (SoundMods) who refurbished a set for a friend.

Hi and welcome. I have some direct-drive home built electrostatics that were made by the late Philip Abraham. I made a 3 kV amp to drive them. I had them on display at the CAF a couple of times.
