Recently moved to the DC area (2011). I have dreams of building a simple well made amp that will take inputs from my turntable, a tape deck, a CD player and a couple of USB ports and then output the signal to the CD player (recorded) a couple of USB ports, and some very efficient speakers. I recently met a person that installs counter tops. I am hoping to pick up a piece of Marble, Granite and any other material he works with. When I get these I will let the group know and see if any one is interested in seeing how they impact the sound of their turntable or system components. I have been able to get to a couple of meetings and have learned a lot. Thanks to everyone that has taken the time to hold a meeting and thanks to all for who have fielded my questions!
