Is there any 12V car tube amplifier for super-tweeter. I think its 104 dB/W efficient and I am planning to use it from 5KHz to 50 KHz. So I am thinking 5Wx2 at 4 ohms may be more than enough. Regards, Jay Bala |

I have no clue why you would need a 12-volt powered amplifier, but here is a link to a manufacturer: http://milbert.com/ |

Too bad you don't drive a hybrid, or an EV. There are plenty of volts (200+VDC) available on the traction side. David |

In the case of my Toyota Avalon the nickel-metal-hydroxide battery pack pushes 240-volts D.C. that is converted to A.C. for the traction motors. I am sure the factory techs "would have a cow" if anyone intercepted the traction power supply for audio. |

Don't get your fingers or anything else that is important to you across it. 240VDC once it gets going does not like to be interrupted. At least with 60Hz AC the voltage goes to zero every 8.3 ms. Tom |

I wonder how a stereo system would sound like if its powered by a Nissan Leaf. Though the sound system in the Leaf sounds flat with no dynamic range. I think its by design. |
