Post subject:  Ethernet Cabling for Audio Streaming

Recently, I had an interaction with the HQPlayer developer about using a network isolator in front of a Holo Red NAA to reduce network noise. I loved his response—simple, effective, and almost free.

Don’t use shielded Ethernet cables. The shield connects the grounds and bypasses the built-in galvanic isolation.
Instead, use CAT6A U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cables with fully plastic connectors. This preserves the galvanic isolation already built into Ethernet.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best one.
