I have known Bill Dudleston for around 40 years and he is definitely one of the good guys in audio. He has a deep understanding of speakers from both the technical and aesthetic sides and has made some cutting edge speakers. He has done some of his own recordings and like David Berning, combines great technical knowledge with being a truly helpful person. Much of what I learned about speakers came from a great deal of time that Bill generously gave to me. His discussion of what he sees as important in speakers and also room interactions in much in line with my philosophy. Doing the speakers right can give you what I call "texture" in the sound, that is the separation of voices and instruments that helps convey what the artists are trying to communicate.
