No offence but.....I find it funny that....

Suddenly, everybody is teaching the master how has been doing this for years.....

There's a saying in my mother tongues Telugu, "Teaching grandpa how to cough" :-)

Threads like this serve as a conversation starter which may enrich us all. One never knows who in the discussion will come up with a tidbit which will be an "AHA" moment for someone.

True, Roscoe, Tom P., Walt, etc. probably know all of this, but some part of the back-and-forth could also be a reminder of a forgotten bit of knowledge.

I try to contribute when I can, but there are a whole lot of very smart and educated people in this group. I am truly humbled to be allowed here. I have learned A LOT from all of you.

Hopefully this is true for other club members and lurkers.

You are free to teach this (grandpa-aged) guy how to cough any time you like! I won't take offense; I appreciate the well-meaning advice.

OK, so I'm now pretty sure it came in through the cable internet.... The pedestal in front of the tree is where the cable transitions from hard line to RG11.

You found where the lightning struck. What is the white obelisk in front of the tree?

What amazes me is that the tall trees didn't attract the strike. Lightning is going to what lightning wants -- what rules?
