Is there a phase shift of mains through a isolation tranny. Dose it matter since AC is converted to DC anyway. I have my power amps directly connected to dedicated 20amp line, but my line level parts connected to same mains through a 1kv iso tranny. I have convinced myself I get a quieter system than without the iso tranny. I suppose I need to do a reality check and take it out and listen. YES THIS IS A SMALL CHANGE THAT IS PROBABLY NOT VERY IMPORTANT |

Since my isolation transformer works only on 115 volts, I will be giving it away at the next non-snowing meet. I got it cheap off ebay in June 2018. Paul, you are welcome to have it and if you don't want it, then somebody else might like it. Some photos at this link. http://www.dcaudiodiy.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1216&start=10 I thought it was an improvement. I'll probably have some other stuff to get rid of as well. My health has improved enough that I can carry a box of wine so I should be able to get the 20-pound beast out to the car. ray |

Paul, if you don't want the transformer, I'd respectfully like to be next in line. I'll be happy travel to pick it up! Thanks Ray and Paul, either way. Stuart |

Thanks Ray but got something similar when we had that discussion last year. I was just thinking about what I have. So my thought exercise was a waste of time and I should not be concerned about what’s happening to the AC mains wave through the iso tranny. |

That's fine Paul. Stuart, I will bring the transformer to the Elsinore meeting, whenever that is. ray |

That would be great Ray. I'm anxious to hear those as well. David M always puts on a great meet. |
