I tried to register so I could download documents. The site rules apparently require an invitation to join. I guess this must be from another member.

I am a registered user of HiFi Engine, but apparently that's not good enough.

Is anyone here a member of Vinyl Engine who would be so kind as to send an invite to me?

I guess maybe 15-years ago. Is it now a membership thing that you subscribe to with a monthly fee?
