Friday night at the Movies.

January 11th, 2025, 5:10 pm

For years Amy and I went out practically every Friday night for Dinner and the Movies. Over the past couple of years we found that we just did not like what was being presented at the local movie theaters.
We grew tired of Marvel and violence and poor acting, same stories told over and over again. But every once in a while a gem comes out.
Last night we saw "A Complete Unknown" about the first five years that Dylan in New York.
The acting was superb.
Timothée Chalamet played a very convincing Bob Dylan. Edward Norton as Pete Seeger and Monica Barbaro played Joan Baez.
I'm sure a lot of people will complain about the accuracy but that does not matter to me. Its the music and the emotions of the turmoil of the world at that time that I felt the movie got it right.
I was in high school and my first couple of years in college at this time. Matin Luther King spoke at my mid western university. I was at the big protest march in Washington. So this movie brought all this back. I was easily pulled in the big screen and the big cinema sound. What a great two hours and 4 minutes
