I have terrible reflections in the rectangular room which are screwing up the soundstage depth and clarity. Bought a pair 2" acoustic panels placed at reflection points which did not help at all. They dont do a good job between 2kHz and 4kHz and nothing 150Hz and below.
This weekend, tried positioning the speakers diagonally in the room to eliminate reflections reaching the listening position. It made a huge difference for the better.
Until I come up with working recipe of DIY diffusers and absorbers, diagonal it is.
