Why not include projects that are sold as kits by other vendors? Still use the same techniques including solder, drill, cut, cover (paint or wrap with carpet/vinyl wrap).

The links that Tubedriver posted are very cool!

I've built a few speakers, been frustrated and ticked off a lot.

The PVC speakers really look cool and seem like an excellent, relatively simple project that an adult beginner of any age could tackle.

Find some cheap drivers that would work, maybe incorporate a bipolar tweeter supported above the PVC for the midwoofer. Lots of options to play with and easy to build enclosures.

Big thumbs up here!

From my article:

.Others appear to be taking advantage of a true egg shape. A search on Google for egg shaped speakers will quickly return lots of offerings including from companies such as KEF, Samsung, Fujitsu, Monro, Bofros Tec, Eclipse and others.

Maker Faires are always big on 3d-printing. There are several local ones each year

Here is an example of what is available locally -

This speaker was at the MWAF in 2016 and was done on a 3D printer. The upper and lower sections used different materials. The person in the photo did this for a Master's thesis.
